The facility was designed for competitive aquatic sports, and the renovation consisted of steel fiber-reinforced shotcrete, epoxy and acrylic deck coating, a stainless steel movable bulkhead, and an upgraded drainage and plumbing system. The project also included lowering the shallow end depth from four feet to eight feet allowing simultaneous events, eight 60-metered swim lanes, two one-meter and two three-meter diving boards for men\u2019s and women\u2019s diving competitions, and seating for 1,200 spectators.
