The new facility featured a sally port, booking, processing, a holding area, property\/evidence storage, gymnasium facilities, locker rooms, a briefing room, and secure parking. It also included office space for the police department, information technology personnel, and a communications center. The project included two phases. Phase I included interior demolition and the abatement of the existing city hall, courts, administration, and finance department. This phase also included the reconstruction of the 7,800-square-foot interior for police use. Phase II included the demolition of the old police station and the construction of a 9,200-square-foot addition to the remaining building.
