The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles, in partnership with the Nevada Department of Administration, celebrated the ground breaking for the new Northern Nevada DMV Services Center Wednesday, September 26.<\/p>\n

The site for the new facility will be located near the corners of Sandhill Road and Double Diamond Parkway, off the South Meadows exit.<\/p>\n

The new building, once opened, will replace the two existing DMV offices currently in Reno; the main office on Galletti Way and a Commercial Driver\u2019s License location on Greg Street.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe the Reno community will greatly appreciate the functionality and efficiency this new building will bring to the DMV experience,\u201d said Ward Patrick, State Public Works Division Administrator. \u201cUsing the new DMV building in Las Vegas as a model for success, H+K Architects and CORE Construction will create a building designed with the goal of optimum customer service in mind.\u201d<\/p>\n
